SCU RAISES MONEY FOR HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS: Although it is thousands of miles away, the victims of the Haitian earthquake are held closely in the hearts and prayers of the faculty, staff and student body of Smith Christian University, Main Campus and Extension Campuses Worldwide. "This is a time when we go to the word of Jesus for guidance as we are tragically made aware of how frail and fragile human life is," offered Dr. H. Leon Smith, SCU Chancellor." We encourage you to join your prayers with ours and lift up your hands with us to help those in Haiti." ANNOUNCEMENT: The Executive Board of Directors of the New Mt. Sinai Christian University have voted unanimously on Monday, October 5th, 2009 to change its name to Smith Christian University. The name change was made in honor of the Founder and Chancellor. The Smith Christian University will still continue to teach from a biblical world view, offering the most affordable and flexible education. With this name change, the mission of the university remains the same, as does the vision of this University, to expand its operations throughout the United States and Internationally.
