 Academic Advising

All Smith Christian University Int'l students have academic advisors with whom they meet regularly to plan degree programs based on their interests, skills and educational goals.

Students are ultimately responsible for making decisions about their educational programs, and for ensuring that degree requirements are met prior to graduation. However, advisors play a pivotal role in a student's academic career.

Advisors can give experienced advice about choosing courses and a major; can provide information about other educational opportunities, such as foreign study, mission trips and internships; and can point students in the right direction for a variety of student services.

For more information about academic advising, contact the Academics Office.

Academic Departments

Smith Christian University offers degree programs in a variety of disciplines. The University will always have at its academic core the biblical studies program, in keeping with the history and mission of the institution. All students are required to either major or minor in biblical studies. However, by offering degree programs in other academic disciplines, the University demonstrates commitment to the principle of the priesthood of all believers. Smith Christian University graduates - both as full-time ministers and as lay leaders - are helping to bring Christ to a world in desperate need of the Good News.

Please explore our departmental web pages for more information on how each department is preparing SCU students to excel both academically and spiritually.
