Smith Christian University offers student pursuing Undergraduate Studies the opportunity to advance their education through various programs of study. Each program is tailored to meet the specific needs of the student, wile providing flexibility. The Undergraduate Programs range in specializations, including General Studies, Business and Exeucutive Ministry Leadership, Theological Studies, etc. Listed below are the various degree programs offered by Smith Christian University along with the academic requirements for each degree. Please view our course catalog to choose the courses that you would like to take. However, if you are not sure as to which courses you should take, we will have a member of our staff to provide academic guidance for you.

All degrees earned without the general education component i.e. ( English, Science, Social Studies, Math and History ) will be issued as follows:

The Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Science Degree requires 24 Credit hours of General Component Courses or a minimum of 2 courses from each component.  Degree requirements are the same as the Non Arts/Science Degree Program with the exception that 24 credit hours from the Non Arts/Science Bachelors Degree Program must be substituted with General Component Courses.

Graduate Degree Programs

Admission to the Graduate School of Counseling requires that students have earned an undergraduate degree with a major or minor in a related field, such as counseling or psychology. Students with significant counseling experience who wish to challenge this requirement must receive a waiver from the Vice Chancellor/Provost and complete a minimum of nine (9) hours of prerequisite courses in the Counseling Department as part of this degree program. The degree in Christian Counseling does not qualify for Florida state licensure, however, it does qualify one with this degree who comes under a religious organization to operate as a "Christian Counselor" under Florida Statutes Title XXXII, Chapter 491.014 Exemption. All Master students must choose a minimum of two English courses from the general component courses either as electives or by substituting 6 credit hours of general courses with 6 hrs of English from the General Component Courses.
