 Financial Aid

Smith Christian University is dedicated to making their programs affordable and manageable. SCU offers it's own internally subsidized financial assistance that will often cover as much as 10-30% of tuition. In addition, Smith Christian University offers more monthly payment plan options that any other comparable institution of higher learning.

Accommodating the adult learner is our goal and that means you can be assured that our Enrollment staff will make every effort to work with you personally to develop a financial strategy to meet your needs.

Economic Advantage Plan

In response to the financial needs that have been expressed by so many of our students and prospective students, Smith Christian University is immediately implementing an Economic Advantage Plan. Under this plan, interest free student loans are made available to each SCU student. The eligibility to receive an interest free university loan is based upon each student's direct financial need. All payment plans are referred to as Covenant Agreements. Covenant Agreements offer numerous manageable monthly payment options starting at $90.00 per month. An initial enrollment deposit, upon acceptance, is to be paid by the student in the amount of $150. This deposit holds the prospective student's place in the classroom (online or on campus) and enters the student into their covenant agreement program. There will be a fee of $25.00 for every payment over 10 days late.

There may never be a greater need for Godly men and women to prepare themselves for the greater work of the Kingdom and there is no need to wait. Upon the approval and acceptance of your application, you will be able to order your books (if applicable) and access your study guides (syllabus), library resources, lectures (for distance study), and much more online through the SCU Online Learning Center.

Confer with an academic advisor or with the SCU Admissions Office, if you wish to apply for a covenant agreement. Each course offered by SCU is measured in semester units of credit. See the specific degree programs and course descriptions for the number of units of credit offered for each specific course. (The grade point stated for letter grades is used to calculate grade point averages or GPA's).
